About the event

Voice carries in itself a tremendous power to heal and awaken the energies in our body and purify the mind. During voice meditation session you will be introduced to a voice toning practice from Nada yoga tradition ( sound yoga tradition) that is a simple process of chanting on vowels (either a , e , i , o , u ) and directing it towards a certain chakra area in the body. Each chakra corresponds to a specific vowel, tone and colour which links to a specific anatomical area of the body. By toning on certain vowels and holding specific mudras, we awaken the blocked areas in our energy field and release the negative emotional patterns that has been stored there for many years.

This process could be also called Voice Mindfulness as you become aware of the movement of the voice in your body and focus on the sensations of vibrations; in which area you feel them, how does it affect you, what are the sensations that appear. This process helps you to release the physical tensions in muscles, attain a relaxed state of the mind and offer an emotional healing. This session helps you to attain more courage to express yourself freely; find back to the true power of your voice and embody it.

We end the day with vocal improvisation in group and further on we explore to find a courage to open up to the magic flow of the sounds in ourselves in front of others. In vocal improvisation part you will be lead to find your soulsong; song that lives inside us; song that can be accessed by deep meditations; song that appears from the silence; song that flows from the open heart; song that unites the essence of one’s being with the body. Deep listening and observation, meditation and relaxation are the keys to sing your song. We will finish the session with connecting from heart to heart through mantra singing and kirtan.
